A processor closed, a shed sat empty on Marine Terrace, and the scales, crates and tally boards stayed exactly where the last shift left them.

What was left in the building
Two hundred trap crates, a brass beam scale rated to forty kilos, six tally boards with the 2016 season still chalked on them and a smell that took a full summer to shift.
The crates became seating and shelving, the scale hangs over the pass, and the tally boards do the daily board and the run times. None of it is decoration bought in.
New in the building: the kitchen, the bar, nine felt tops, the lighting and a roof that no longer leaks over the third table.

The store opened on Marine Terrace.

The processor consolidated and it shut.

The doors opened again with a kitchen in the loading end.
